The Fuente Fuente Opus X Angel’s Share Robusto is manufactured in the Dominican Republic at the Arturo Fuentes factory with tobaccos grown in the mineral rich soils of the Chateau de la Fuente farms. This is a real Dominican Puro since all tobacco used in production is grown in the Dominican Republic.
Opus X cigars are the pinnacle of the Fuentes Family products. The unique combination of tobaccos and the flawless construction produces an aromatic, smooth and bold flavor unique to the Opus X. The Opus X lines are rare and in high demand, due to their limited availability, this brand is frequently out of stock at most retailers.

To put my rating in perspective, I am a relatively new smoker. I prefer mild to medium cigars with AF Anejo being my favorite smoke. Pros of this cigar are luxuriant looking wrapper with minimal veining and well constructed. Great smoke volume. Good ash at about 1.25 inches before it fell off in the ash tray unprompted. Relatively straight edge throughout the smoke, very good draw, and consistent flavor throughout the smoke which lasted about 1.5 hours with two relights (read cons for a continuation of theme). It has a good peppery finish that lasted about 5-10 seconds. I used a guillotine cutter. I smoked it on a windless evening on a balcony with Kahlua as my drink. Cons. The dry draw was essentially tasteless. There was a consistency of flavor throughout the smoking experience which to my palate was leather, spice and a hint of mint, yes mint. Not particularly savory or nuanced in its flavor profile. I would label it a bold and strong cigar with a high nicotine transfer as experienced by my post smoke over-alertness. It cost $35. Would I smoke in the near future or grab this “rare” cigar should I find it somewhere, no. Was it a value smoke no. I am sure a good deal of the price is associated with the hype, packaging, wrappers and advertising that go along with the Opus X mark. There are other sticks that afford more pleasure at a significantly lower price point. This vendor was A+ in service.
